Hardship Funding

ALU Hardship Funds

NOTE: The hardship fund is currently unavailable, as ALU does not currently have the funds to responsibly respond to requests. Please see the Basic Needs page for directions to outside resources.

The purpose of the ALU graduate student hardship fund is to provide financial relief to graduate assistants and graduate students facing financial hardship. Undocumented and international students are welcome; there is no citizenship requirement and all information provided is confidential.

We initially launched this fund in response to the COVID-19 public health and economic crisis. While applications were originally open to all members of the UH community, in light of the availability of other hardship funding that has since arisen for undergraduate students, we have transitioned our fund to specifically support graduate students. If you are an undergraduate student in need of financial assistance, please apply to the Urgent Student Relief Fund, and feel free to reach out to ALU for further assistance.
